How We Work

Meals and desserts are prepared in a production kitchen. The kitchen staffs cook the multi-portion product in line with orders placed for each school. The meals are then loaded into pre-heated specialist hot boxes.

GV Food Transport drivers pick up the hot boxes with the meals and deliver the food to the schools. After lunchtime service, the kitchen staffs pack up all the dining equipment and hot boxes. They are then collected by the GV Food Transport driver and returned to the production kitchen, ready for the next day.

Our drivers are often asked to do extra errands within their routes – cookery equipment, ingredients and even paperwork for the school can be picked up at the same time as the school meals
